Conceptual Analysis
This academic project explored the process of research and design. Our studio looked at various precedents to learn and understand from inspiring architects. We looked at the documentation of the precedent buildings to build physical conceptual scale models. My precedent study was the Leutschenbach School by Christian Kerez, located in Switzerland. The diagram I drew shows a unique perspective, the worm’s eye view, to show how the various stacks of trusses load onto six sets of tripod legs. This project was an interesting example of how structure is partnered with design to create an innovative expression of loads.
